At today’s PMQs two SNP questions and Gavin Newlands and Mhairi Black nails government nailed the government.

Oliver Dowden was standing in for Rishi Sunak…strange shoes to fill.

Gavin Newlands SNP MP said: “Oliver Dowden likes to call himself Mr Normal…. but he charged two businesses over £13k for just 20 hours work, that’s £670 per hour. So does Mr Normal really think he’s worth 65 times a band 2 to nurse?”

Dowden once said he has ‘never bought a tin of baked beans in his life’ when quizzed about the cost of living crisis.

Mhairi Black nails government

Then Mhairi Black stood up and slammed the government over the Dowden’s priorities during the cost of living.

He decided to brag about the money spent on the King’s coronation.

Black tweeted the video and wrote:”When asked about his priorities during a cost of living crisis, the deputy PM waffled on about the pomp, pageantry and pride of the Royal coronation. As ever, people suffering are not a priority for this Tory government.”
