Originating as one of the 456 participants donning green tracksuits, engaged in diverse challenges reminiscent of the hit TV series Squid Game, Whelan’s victory has provided her with a platform to champion her cause. She expressed, “It’s good because I would like to express my cause; that’s the main reason why I joined the game, to help a cause, so now that I win, I have a platform to tell the world to help the underprivileged.”
Whelan revealed her plans to amplify support for the charity Unbound, emphasizing her commitment to educating children and ensuring the well-being of the elderly, particularly in economically disadvantaged regions. She acknowledged the necessity for medical care in impoverished countries and stressed the importance of providing education for children.
While acknowledging she would reserve some winnings for her retirement and personal needs, Whelan emphasized her dedication to charitable work. Reflecting on her success in Squid Game, she attributed it to maintaining her integrity and staying true to her character, irrespective of judgments from others.
