In a bold move aimed at reshaping the political landscape in Holborn and St Pancras, the newly formed OCISA group has selected Andrew Feinstein, the director of Corruption Watch UK and a former South African Member of Parliament, to stand against incumbent Labour leader Keir Starmer in the upcoming general election.

Feinstein, a Jewish individual and adviser to Nelson Mandela, has emerged as a formidable contender, drawing attention to his extensive track record of integrity and principled leadership. His candidacy, now residing in the constituency, signifies a direct challenge to Starmer, whose tenure has been marred by criticism and broken promises.

Born to Holocaust survivors, Feinstein’s advocacy extends beyond traditional party lines. He has consistently opposed Israel’s policies in Gaza, advocating for tactics similar to those employed against apartheid in South Africa. In stark contrast, Starmer has drawn criticism for his stance, affirming Israel’s actions even amid international outcry.

Despite Labour’s historical stronghold in the constituency, Feinstein’s candidacy poses a significant threat to Starmer’s position, particularly given the demographic makeup of the area, where one in six voters is Muslim. Moreover, Feinstein’s alignment with South Africa’s condemnation of the Gaza conflict amplifies the resonance of his campaign, garnering support from both within the constituency and across the nation.

The announcement has reportedly unsettled Starmer and his team, who are said to be ā€œragingā€ at the prospect of facing such a formidable opponent. With the stage set for a contentious battle, the electorate braces for a clash of ideologies and principles that could reshape the political landscape of Holborn and St Pancras.

🚨 NEW: Been told Starmer's team are raging about Andrew Feinstein being selected to stand against him and are worried he is going to do a Jo Swinson and lose his seat. This is against the backdrop of the Rochdale byelection blowing up in his face.
