“It’s always about the story. It’s always about the script,” Murphy remarked in a recent CBS News interview. “If [Steven] feels like there’s more story for Tommy, then I’ll be there.”

While specific plot details remain shrouded in secrecy, Knight previously hinted to RadioTimes.com that the film would delve into untold stories from the Second World War, with the Peaky Blinders entangled in historical events.

“I know what’s going to happen in those stories and it’s about a sort of untold story that happened in the Second World War, which Peakys are going to be involved in,” Knight shared.

Teasing further surprises, Knight urged viewers to “expect the unexpected” in the upcoming film, leaving fans eagerly speculating about what lies in store for the infamous Shelby clan.

With filming scheduled to commence in September, enthusiasts can anticipate more details emerging in the coming months.

Amidst the buzz surrounding Murphy’s recent Oscar win for his role in ‘Oppenheimer,’ where he portrayed the titular scientist, excitement for his return to the streets of Birmingham is palpable.

“We made a film about the man who created the atomic bomb and for better or worse we’re now living in Oppenheimer’s world,” Murphy reflected upon accepting the prestigious award. “So I’d like to dedicate this to the peacemakers everywhere.”

As fans eagerly await the release of the ‘Peaky Blinders’ film, they can relive the drama of seasons 1-6 on BBC iPlayer.
