Statham. Harbour. Guns. Need we say more?

If you’ve been itching for your next Jason Statham fix, you’re in luck. The Hobbs & Shaw star is teaming up with Stranger Things fan-favourite David Harbour in A Working Man, directed by David Ayer. It looks exactly like the sort of high-octane film you’d expect—full of grit, guns, and just the right amount of wisecracking camaraderie.

A Sneak Peek at the Trailer

The trailer starts off with Statham’s Levon Cade, a former marine now working construction after losing his wife. He’s got a new life, but you just know trouble isn’t far off. When his boss Garcia (Ant-Man star Michael Peña) needs help finding his missing daughter, Levon reverts to his “military stuff,” taking on the city’s underworld with brutal efficiency.

David Harbour: The Blind Arms Dealer

David Harbour’s character, Gunny, is Levon’s war buddy and resident arms dealer—who also happens to be blind. Harbour clearly has fun with the role, introducing himself as Levon’s “weapon sommelier” and flaunting an arsenal of Bluetooth-enhanced M14s. It’s safe to say these two won’t just be sharing cups of tea.

Familiar Faces and Fresh Mayhem

To add even more interest, Jason Flemyng—Statham’s co-star from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels—pops up at the end of the trailer. Based on Chuck Dixon’s novel Levon’s Trade, A Working Man promises a mix of well-choreographed fight sequences and a thriller-style plot about human trafficking in the city’s seedy underbelly.

Release Details

The Beekeeper team-up between Statham and Ayer clearly paved the way for another action-packed outing. A Working Man hits US cinemas on 28 March, while a UK release date is still under wraps. Stay tuned for more details—because this looks like one you won’t want to miss.
