Elon Musk has reportedly been teaming up with Dominic Cummings—the former No 10 adviser behind Boris Johnson’s 2019 election victory—to coordinate a campaign against Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Government sources believe Cummings has been advising Musk, who has unleashed a stream of online attacks against various British political figures, including Nigel Farage and Starmer himself.

A Surprise Alliance

Cummings and Musk are said to be in regular contact via WhatsApp, along with an unnamed US businessman. According to a source close to Musk, the group are united by their desire for a “smaller government” and an end to the traditional two-party system. Critics suggest Musk’s posts—published during UK daytime despite his being based in the US—bear the hallmarks of a UK-based “co-conspirator.”

  • Cummings: Famously advertised for “weirdos and misfits” while in Downing Street
  • Musk: Looking for “super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries” for his newly formed Department for Government Efficiency

Musk’s UK Politics Crusade

The Tesla and SpaceX billionaire, worth an estimated £339 billion, has drawn criticism for:

  • Slamming Starmer: Accusing him of being “complicit in the rape of Britain” during his time as Director of Public Prosecutions
  • Attacking Nigel Farage: Though they have reportedly reconciled after a falling out over support for Tommy Robinson
  • Suggesting ‘liberating’ Britain: Asking his 210 million social media followers if the US should intervene against “tyrannical” British governance

Musk’s tirades have prompted the Home Office’s Homeland Security group to monitor his posts, given concerns around extremist rhetoric.

The “StartUp Party” Dream

While some believe Musk’s interference is driven by US political alliances—he’s a key aide to Donald Trump—Cummings has been plotting a new “StartUp Party,” intended to break the mould of Westminster politics. It aims to:

  • Challenge the European Convention on Human Rights
  • Close tax loopholes for the richest 1%
  • Embrace AI and technological innovation
  • Overhaul Whitehall

Cummings envisions a team of physicists, entrepreneurs, and ex-intelligence officers to shake up the status quo before the next general election.

Farage and Musk: A Temporary Rift?

Nigel Farage, once aligned with Musk, fell out of favour after disagreeing over the imprisonment of far-right activist Tommy Robinson. Despite this tension, Farage insists they remain on cordial terms, telling reporters: “We absolutely agree that we don’t want to be at war with each other.”
