Watch: ‘Underwater on everything’ — Fox News host tears into Trump

“Basically, he’s underwater on everything,”

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov didn’t hold back on The Five as she laid into Donald Trump’s poor approval ratings.

On Thursday, Tarlov highlighted how recent polling shows Trump is floundering on almost every major issue. According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, more than 50% of Americans disapprove of how Trump is handling the economy, trade with Mexico and Canada, the Ukraine-Russia conflict, and even the federal workforce.

“Basically, he’s underwater on everything,” Tarlov said bluntly.

Brutal Polling for the White House

It’s not just Quinnipiac delivering bad news for Trump. A CNN poll shows most Americans are unhappy with his handling of the economy. Meanwhile, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 57% of Americans think Trump’s economic policies have been “too erratic.”

Tarlov’s comments came during a panel discussion about how Democrats are handling their messaging — and it seems to be working.

Democrats Finding Their Footing

Tarlov gave Democrats credit for holding effective town halls and improving their communication strategy. She pointed to Representative Jason Crow’s recent event, which reportedly drew the biggest crowd since he took office in 2019.

“A lot of Trump’s poor polling comes down to Democrats showing up and engaging with voters,” she said.

She also referenced a report by independent journalist Tara Palmeri, which claimed Democrats are hiring influencers and adjusting their tone to be more direct — even a bit meaner.

Conservatives Feeling the Pressure

Tarlov didn’t stop there. She criticised conservatives who have accused Democrats of planting “fake” attendees at town halls.

“If you think cutting tens of thousands of jobs and stripping billions from Medicaid isn’t going to get people fired up, 2026 is going to be pretty bleak,” she warned.

Jessica: If you look at the latest Quinnipiac poll, over 50% disapproval of trump himself, how he is handling the economy, how he is handling the federal workforce, how he is handling Ukraine-Russia, how he is handling trade with Mexico, how he is handing trade with Canada.

With polling numbers like these, it’s no wonder Trump’s team is feeling the heat.
