Atlantic journalist, Jeffrey Goldberg, was accidentally added into a group chat about.

He wrote the article, after working out it wasn’t a prank, and wrote: “The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans. U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.”

Goldberg had been added on encrypted messaging service Signal – in a group that included US vice president JD Vance, defence secretary Pete Hegseth, national security adviser Mike Waltz and director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

Trump’s excuse

Trump on his cabinet members using Signal to text war plans to a reporter said: “I don’t know anything about it. I’m not a big fan of The Atlantic. To be it’s a magazine that’s going out of business. But I know nothing about it. You’re saying that they had what?”

What's worse is that he HAS no idea, allegedly, about the story, which makes it even worse and more terrifying. Like, bro, why don't you know? https://t.co/d7T7LHjZMb

I keep telling y'all he's running the United States government – a $30 trillion economy and the world's most powerful military force – like it's the Apprentice. He has ZERO idea what's happening and just shows up for the cameras while his flunkies do the dirty work. https://t.co/Yro34N2BH2

If it’s true that the President of the United States had no idea that his war cabinet and VP were discussing war plans on a Signal chat that included a journalist, that is astounding ignorance and profound incompetence. https://t.co/3V9gkCf1rM

BREAKING: In a stunning moment, Donald Trump admits that he has no idea what his own administration is up to, when asked about the major lapse in security when war plans were accidentally shared over Signal with a reporter.

If Trump doesn’t know about a major incident involving his VP, Chief of Staff, NatSec Advisor, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Director of National Intelligence, and CIA Director, then who exactly is running the government?
