Nigel Farage has found himself in hot water again, this time over remarks about women in the workplace. The Reform UK leader has been accused of being “stuck in the 1970s” after suggesting that women are less willing than men to make personal sacrifices for success in business.

👀 Farage’s Controversial Views

Farage made his comments during a Westminster lunch, where he criticised diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) policies aimed at improving opportunities for minority groups. He argued that offering certain groups privileges based on factors like skin colour or sexuality, rather than merit, was wrong and ineffective.

When asked about the high number of top jobs held by white men, Farage responded, “Men are prepared to sacrifice their family lives in order to pursue a career. Fewer women are willing to make those same sacrifices.” He also added, “Women who do make those sacrifices probably have a better chance of reaching the top than men.”

💥 Backlash from MPs

Labour MP Natalie Fleet was quick to hit back, calling Farage’s comments “outdated.” She said, “Nigel Farage seems to be stuck in the 1970s. He clearly has no idea about the sacrifices women make. How on earth can his party represent them?”

The criticism hasn’t stopped there. Many are questioning how Farage’s views fit with modern-day attitudes towards gender equality in the workplace. His comments have sparked outrage, with many calling for a more progressive and inclusive approach to business and leadership.
