Tim Walz fires back at Elon Musk after being labelled a “creep”

“Elon, I’ll make you a deal."

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz isn’t backing down after being called a “huge jerk” and a “creep” by Elon Musk. The feud began when Walz poked fun at Tesla’s falling stock price, but now he’s fired back with a bold proposal.

📉 The Tesla Takedown

It all started when Walz made light of Tesla’s declining financial performance. During a speech earlier this month, he joked about adding Tesla’s stock price to his phone’s home screen. “I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day. Two-hundred-twenty-five and dropping!” he said, poking fun at the company’s struggles.

Musk didn’t take kindly to the joke. Over the weekend, he labelled Walz a “huge jerk” and a “creep” for celebrating Tesla’s financial downturn.

🤝 Walz’s Bold Deal

Not one to let insults slide, Walz responded with a challenge for Musk. On X (formerly Twitter), Walz wrote: “Elon, I’ll make you a deal. I’ll stop making fun of your stock when you take your hands off Social Security.”

Walz didn’t stop there. In a follow-up post, he added, “Surely a billionaire who sheds a tear for his own portfolio can understand our concern when he grins and raises a chainsaw to the people’s retirement plan.” This was a reference to Musk’s controversial DOGE department, which had recently targeted the Social Security agency.
