Donald Trump has caused a stir once again with his latest social media rant. This time, he’s targeting 60 Minutes after watching a segment that triggered his anger.
Trump Reacts to 60 Minutes Interview
Trump’s frustration boiled over after watching a segment of 60 Minutes that featured an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The interview sparked a heated response from Trump, who took to his Truth Social platform to vent.
He called the show “not a ‘News Show,’ but a dishonest Political Operative disguised as ‘News.’”
Trump demanded that CBS should “lose their license” for their coverage. But it wasn’t just the Zelenskyy interview that upset him.
Trump’s Grievance with Zelenskyy
In the interview, Zelenskyy responded to Trump’s claim that Ukraine started the war and to his insult calling him a “dictator.” The Ukrainian president said, “I believe, sadly, Russian narratives are prevailing in the U.S.” This didn’t sit well with Trump.
Greenland Controversy Sparks More Anger
Trump’s anger didn’t stop there. Another segment on 60 Minutes discussed Greenland, a place Trump once tried to buy. Aqqaluk Lynge, an Inuit elder, criticised Trump’s past statement that the U.S. would take Greenland “one way or the other.” This added more fuel to the fire.
Trump’s Call for Action
Trump didn’t hold back. He called for “maximum fines and punishment” for CBS. He directed his anger at the FCC, urging for “substantial” penalties. Trump claimed, “CBS is out of control” and demanded that they face consequences.
