Former Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe has launched a blistering attack on Nigel Farage, calling him a “coward and viper” who should never be prime minister.
🗯️ A Bitter Fallout
Lowe, who won his seat in July as one of five Reform UK MPs, was expelled from the party and reported to the police over alleged “threats of physical violence” towards party chair Zia Yusuf. He denies the accusations, which the Metropolitan Police dropped today.
🗣️ No Holding Back
In a fiery statement, the now-independent MP for Great Yarmouth ripped into Farage, accusing him of running a smear campaign. He wrote:
“For the good of our country, Nigel Farage must never be prime minister. To the millions of decent Reform supporters – you must do what you believe is right.
“I, personally, could not remain in an organisation led by such men. They do not deserve your support, your time, your energy, your money, or your vote.”
💥 Not Holding Back
Lowe didn’t stop there, declaring that “mere reform is inadequate” and calling for “radical, principled change.” He promised to help build a new political movement that would be “credible, professional, decent, democratic and honest.”
🔥 ‘Coward and Viper’
He added:
“Farage is no leader – he is a coward and a viper. I feel deeply embarrassed that I ever thought he was the man to lead.”
💬 Sharp Words for Former Allies
Lowe also took aim at his former Reform UK colleagues, saying he felt “ashamed to have shared a parliamentary platform” with them. He accused them of smearing his innocent staff and using “the lowest, vilest tactics” to undermine him.
“They are not fit to lead. They are not fit to be MPs,” he concluded.
🚀 A New Path Ahead?
Despite Reform UK’s recent success in the polls, Lowe insists it’s time for a fresh political alternative, hinting at a movement free from Farage’s influence.
