From sympathy to suspicion: Trump’s jaw-dropping response to Biden’s cancer

“I think the doctor said he’s just fine, and it’s turned out that’s not so — it’s very dangerous. Look, this is no longer politically correct. This is dangerous for our country,”

On Sunday, Donald Trump showed sympathy after Joe Biden’s cancer news. By Monday, he’d pivoted. At a White House law enforcement event, he questioned Biden’s fitness for office and fuelled unverified conspiracies.

🕵️‍♂️ “Why wasn’t the public told sooner?”
Reporters asked what investigators had uncovered about Biden’s diagnosis. Trump replied: “I think it’s very sad. Actually, I’m surprised the public wasn’t notified a long time ago because to get to stage 9, that’s a long time. I just had my physical.”

He lumped Biden’s Gleason score of nine in with wild conjecture, then boasted he “aced” his own physical—including cognitive tests.

🏥 Screenings, stages and secrecy
Biden has stage 4 prostate cancer that’s hormone-sensitive, say his doctors. Men aged 55–69 get PSA checks; over 70 they usually don’t. Early prostate cancer rarely shows symptoms, so Biden may have been unaware of his illness until recently.

🔬 Playing into conspiracies
Trump claimed “somebody is not telling the facts” about Biden’s diagnosis. He urged mandatory cognitive tests for presidents. His comments echo fringe theories—despite no evidence of a cover-up.

Trump: I think it’s very sad, actually. I’m surprised that it wasn’t—you know—the public wasn’t notified a long time ago, because to get to stage 9, that’s a long time. I just had my physical. 🤷‍♂️ From kind words to cutting remarks
Just a day earlier on Truth Social, Trump had written:

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis… We wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Now he’s back to questioning Biden’s health—and stirring fresh doubts.
