Lineker: Now BBC impartiality is under spotlight right-wing won’t like this

Are there some blues under the bed at the BBC?

Gary Lineker has come under non-stop pressure from the MSM and was supposedly to be told off by BBC bosses over a tweet.

The BBC, Tories and Daily Mail are NOT happy.

Showing BBC political bias has got their backs up.

To use the Nazi word in this context is disgusting and vile. The BBC should disassociate themselves from these types of comments and ask themselves the question 'is this the type of comment they expect from their publicly funded presenters?'

Gary has stood firm.

Well, it’s been an interesting couple of days. Happy that this ridiculously out of proportion story seems to be abating and very much looking forward to presenting @BBCMOTD on Saturday. Thanks again for all your incredible support. It’s been overwhelming.

BBC political bias

Well, back in October 2022 viewers called for the BBC’s Fiona Bruce and Laura Kuenssberg to be investigated over their political ‘impartiality’, reported The Mirror.

It came after Maxine Croxall was taken off air after a comment about Boris Johnson.

At the time one person on Twitter wrote: “Fiona Bruce & Laura Kuenssberg should be investigated then. @BBCNews you can’t pick and choose depending which way the bias is. You long since abandoned balance This is truly pathetic.”

Another added: “Maxine Croxall removed from the BBC for lack of impartiality? Did they not watch Laura Kuenssberg’s interviews with Johnson and Corbyn where Johnson was insulted but Corbyn treated with kid gloves?”

On Fiona Bruce hosting Question Time one person tweeted: “It’s horrible news. Hearing that the BBC had reminded Gary Lineker of his responsibilities after his remarks when Fiona Bruce appears to be getting away with blatant bias in her presentation of Question Time, makes me glad I gave up on current affairs programmes.”

Then there is always Nick Robinson.

How about Andrew Neil?

Owen Jones tweered: “Andrew Neil was the BBC’s *flagship political presenter*. He not only spouted off right-wing ideas on Twitter all the time, he chaired a hard right political magazine.

“Did you hear the Daily Mail demanding he was fired? The massive raging hypocrites.”

Oh and there is this about Neil…

At the same time as fronting the BBC's political programmes, Neil was also Chairman of the right-wing Spectator magazine. Here he is at one of their summer parties. pic.twitter.com/n02kEbUngf

Richard Sharp

What about BBC chairman Richard Sharp who kept his job after helping to land former PM Boris Johnson an £800,000 loan.

Clive Efford here, dropping the Richard Sharp bomb like an absolute lad.

Which is greater evidence of political bias to you? Lineker stating an opinion or the BBC chair donating £400k to the Tory party?

They can’t justify it, so they scapegoat.pic.twitter.com/8AWqq84rCO

Robbie Gibb

Former Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis claimed Robbie Gibb as an “active agent of the Conservative party” on the BBC’s board.

Tim Davie

Tony Hall’s replacement as director general of the BBC Tim Davie was a local Conservative official in the 90s before joining the broadcaster.
