Bradley Cooper expressed his willingness to revisit his role as Phil in a potential new installment of the “Hangover” film series.

During a recent episode of “The New Yorker Radio Hour” podcast, Cooper discussed his directorial ventures, such as “A Star Is Born” and “Maestro,” and his shift towards more dramatic roles. Host David Remnick inquired about the possibility of Cooper taking on another fun comic role, similar to the spirit of the “Hangover” series.

In response, Cooper humorously stated, “Well, I would do ‘Hangover 5.’ It would be ‘Hangover 4’ first, but yeah,” emphasizing his openness to the idea. Remnick further questioned if Cooper would consider such a project merely to pay the bills.

Cooper affirmed his enthusiasm, stating, “I would probably do ‘Hangover 4’ in an instant. Just because I love Todd [Phillips], I love Zach [Galifianakis], I love Ed [Helms] so much, I probably would.”

However, when asked about the likelihood of a fourth “Hangover” film, Cooper mentioned, “I don’t think Todd’s ever going to do that,” hinting at the director’s hesitancy.

Cooper, who played Phil alongside Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, and Ken Jeong in the original 2009 “Hangover” film, acknowledged that while he has taken on more serious roles recently, he is currently enjoying his latest projects. He emphasized that working on films like “Maestro” and “A Star is Born” has been immensely enjoyable and not as exhausting as some might perceive.

“There’s nothing more fun that I’ve experienced than ‘Maestro’ and ‘A Star is Born.’ I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t,” Cooper remarked, shedding light on his continued passion for diverse and fulfilling roles in the film industry.
