The PM Rishi Sunak will face off against labour leader Sir Keir Starmer at Prime Minister’s Questions today after Parliament returned from its Easter recess.

A long old break, even more than the teachers the Tories always moan are lazy and work shy!

Anyway there are a few things that Sunak needs to answer today.

Will Starmer ask them though?

Rishi Sunak’s priorities are toast:

– Inflation 10.1%

– Economy on track to be worst in G7

– Debt climbing next 5 years

– Record NHS waiting lists & times

– Can’t guarantee Stop the boats by next GE. Crossings in 2023 > 2022

Inflation dipped slightly in March, but remained above 10 per cent, falling from 10.4 per cent in February to 10.1 per cent.

This graph shows the state of the the UK economy.

Sunak MUST be pulled up on this.

Don’t let Rishi Sunak get away with lying at #PMQS about the slight drop in inflation. Many experts expected much lower by now. We have the worst inflation on Western Europe and in the G7. @RishiSunak pic.twitter.com/GCYBmUhyql

Another chart to illustrate the point.

The UK is now an outlier among major economies with inflation at 10.1%

France: 6.6%
Germany: 7.8%
US: 5.3%
Japan: 3.3%

G7 growth comparison perhaps?

Just getting this in early Rishi Sunak when the lies dribble out of your mouth tomorrow at #PMQS

NHS

Starmer must demand answers on the failing health system.

What Can’t be asked?!

Well, this is very strange.

As Paul Waugh tweeted: “The Commons Speaker has warned MPs not to raise @RishiSunak‘s childcare shares row in #PMQs today. But here’s the real story behind the story: Govt is helping private equity-backed “agencies” as a privatised alternative to Ofsted. With taxpayer cash.”
