Brexiter’s message to ‘remoaners’ has been lampooned on-line

"Nobody likes a sore winner. It’s not a great look," said one person in response to the Brexiter.

A Brexiter’s comment on a ‘remoaners’ speech, has got people talking, to say the least.

It began with Wera Hobhouse MP who tweeted a video and wrote: “Nearly 70% of Bath voted to Remain, and so many of us continue to feel a deep sense of loss. An inquiry into the impact of Brexit would help the Government face up to reality. And the reality is – Brexit will leave a larger scar on our economy than the pandemic.”

@Wera_Hobhouse absolutely spot on with her analysis to find the truth about Brexit. https://t.co/0e1Qhsz8rz

Brexiter’s / Remoaners

One person who REALLY didn’t like her comment was Martin Daubney “Journalist for 28 years. MEP who voted the UK out the EU. Do some presenting on GB News,’ as his Twitter bio Twitter reads.

He responded with this tweet: “The problem with Remoaners is that nobody ever taught them to lose. A life of entitlement does that to you I’m sure if Leavers had lost we’d have moaned for a day or two, then just got on with our lives.”

You were moaning ever since we entered the Common Market in 1973 and you’re still moaning now that we’ve left. As for losing, yes we don’t like it, so we’ll pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and campaign to rejoin and we will rejoin and then you’ll moan about that!

The problem with brexiters is that they treat it like a binary decision. We live in a society not a game show. Out of the 100s of version of Brexit virtually nobody was talking about a hard Brexit & yet it was delivered. I accept we won’t be rejoining but I we need compromise.

The problem is that if leavers lost then nothing would have changed for them. Remainers losing lost rights that they valued. Nothing would have been taken from a leaver, lots was taking from remainers against their wishes.

But that’s complete tosh. And you put it in writing. Why do people do things like that?

We know our neighbours were tricked into voting for the biggest mistake this country has made.
We know the same vote now, with some of that trickery exposed, would go differently.

We know that history will condemn Brexit and Brexiteers.

We know our duty to our grandchildren.

You're working on the assumption this was a fair vote. It wasn't, as well you know, Daubney. You all lied to us, and this will never be forgiven. We will do our utmost to #ReverseBrexit.

Lying is when you say something you know to be false.

If Leave had lost 52-48 Nigel Farage would be living in a tent opposite Parliament with a loud hailer permanently repeating ‘the people demand another referendum’ in his sleep.

Yeah, sure.

Ditch laws?

He won’t like this! The news today is that the government is to ditch plans to scrap up to 4,000 EU laws by the end of the year after a private meeting with Brexiter MPs.

It now aims to remove 800 statutes and regulations instead of 3,700 laws it had lined up for a bonfire of EU law in December.

The plan was to ditch everything from passenger rights to compensation for cancelled flights, to equality employment law and environmental standards and protections.
