Carol Voderman schools Johnson using English not maths this time

"The taxpayer is footing at least £220,000 in legal fees for his defence."

Boris Johnson accepts that he misled Parliament but said there was “no evidence” he did so intentionally, insisting his statements to the Commons regarding the Partygate scandal were in “good faith”.

The committee investigating whether he knowingly misled parliament has published the ex-prime minister’s 52-page defence.

The possible punishments range from ordering him to apologise to suspending him from the Commons.

If he is suspended for more than 10 days, this could trigger a by-election in his constituency – although suspensions of this length have been rare.

Before we get to Carol Voderman’s epic tweet, she shared a thread by Lewis Goodall reminding people that the taxpayer is footing at least £220,000 in legal fees for his defence.

A good thread from @lewis_goodall analysing Johnson's submission re Partygate.

Don't forget – WE ARE PAYING AT LEAST £220,000 in lawyers' fees for his defence. Yes, his lawyers are being paid by us.

Are there any ways this government can mock and insult us more than it does?? https://t.co/lozob6nIYz

Liar

Carol is known for her maths skills, but decided to use a Thesaurus and asked people for a bit of help.

She tweeted: “A little help from the Thesaurus for tomorrow’s tweets…. Boris Johnson Liar. Any other additions?”
