The Duke of Sussex Harry will be present at the King’s coronation, but his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, will not be attending, Buckingham Palace has said.
There had been speculation about whether the couple would travel to the coronation but it has now emerged that Prince Harry will attend alone, leaving Dan Wootton to blame and then not blame the couple for coming and not coming. Yep, it makes no sense to us either.
The couple issued a statement along the same lines as the palace: “The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”
The prince will join more than 2,000 guests at Westminster Abbey on 6 May.
He tweeted: “So Meghan bottles it, leaving Prince Harry to attend the Coronation alone in order to avoid boos from angry Brits in the crowd. But how sad to deny the king the chance to see his two grandchildren who will remain in California.”

She wrote: “Sad? I doubt it. He’s got more than enough love for and from his other grandchildren. He can manage without ‘Her’ children thank you very much!!!”
