This morning’s guest’s remarks towards refugees shocked viewers of Good Morning Britain.
The remark was made after Andrew Pierce was interviewed by the programme to discuss Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his new cabinet.
The journalist and broadcaster startled the audience when the topic of immigration came up during their discussion.
Mr. Pierce said to the GMB presenters in regards to the UK’s immigration policy, “We’ve got to get to grips with these wretched people crossing the channel.”
Viewers at home flooded Twitter with complaints about the breakfast TV show’s guest who they accused of ‘straying into hate speech territory’.
