Junior doctors to strike as NSFW response sickens many

Junior doctors in England have voted in favour of taking strike action.

They are fighting to get a pay rise of 26%.

Members of the British Medical Association are now expected to take part in a 72-hour walkout, possibly in mid March.

Doctors have never experienced so much stress, so much moral injury from not being able to undertake the care that they’re so desperate to give,” Prof Philip Banfield, the chair of the BMA, said at the weekend.

“This government, with its silence and disregard for our highly skilled and expert workforce, is consciously and deliberately overseeing the demise of the NHS at a point when it is needed most.”

The mass action involving about 45,000 junior doctors will be the longest continuous strike undertaken by any healthcare workers in England.

He tweeted: “Do not harm the patient’’. The Hippocratic Oath is clear but the vile shitbags (or junior doctors as they prefer to be known) are to strike for 3 days plunging patients into danger. They earn £34,012 , plus 37% for night work and premiums for weekend work or being on call.

This strike is absolute necessary and will save more lives in the longer run by improving recruitment and retention of staff. Patients are already suffering from staff shortages
