Just Stop Oil protestors managed to get onto a court at Wimbeldon, throwing a jigsaw about, which they seemingly bought from the Tennis club’s shop. Chris Packham has stuck up for the way the protestors have been treated compared to the way the Government has seemingly ditched a key climate pledge.

The government is drawing up plans to drop the UK’s flagship £11.6bn climate and nature funding pledge, the Guardian reported, with Sunak accused of betraying populations most vulnerable to global heating.

Tuesday was world’s hottest day on record – breaking Monday’s record, average global temperature hit 17.18c.

“Chances are that the month of July will be the warmest ever, and with it the hottest month ever … ‘ever’ meaning since the Eemian, which is indeed some 120,000 years ago,” said Dr Karsten Haustein.

Sadly @CPhilpOfficial ,@RishiSunak and co. have no interest in the planet or global warming. They live in the now, where they concentrate their efforts on grabbing as much money for themselves as they can from wherever they can. I don't understand this because their stance means

Sufragettes

Owen Jones appeared on Good Morning Britain and discussed the issue, he said: “The Sufragettes did far more than anything Just Stop Oil do… people look back and think – whatever the tactics, the injustice was far more evil. How is this going to look in 30 years?”

Someone tweeted in response saying: “Weirdly just said this point to my husband before seeing this. The suffragettes did far more and worst. It’s an interesting debate that must be had.

“Back then the leaders were mainly toffs that would do nothing without targeted (at them) protest but it has changed substantially. We don’t have only toffs running us.

“Whether they should be allowed to disrupt everyday people’s daily lives is debatable. The people are not their enemies.

“Personally I think they should focus their anger more specifically and try not to disrupt people going about their normal lives.”
