Remember Liz Truss’ time as PM? I doubt if Liz even does, but there go, but she is still picking an honours list

She might have wiped from her memory destroying our economy and blaming it on her newly appointed chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng.

Honours List of Shame

Truss has decided that she will nominate some people for peerages, due to being PM.

It feels like if Usain Bolt gave you a 10 sec head start and still beat you, you could claim you were the fastest person ever.

Liz Truss has been accused of compiling a “list of shame” following reports the ex-prime minister is set to nominate four close supporters for peerages.

Just to increase the farce level a bit more Boris Johnson’s peerage nomination need dealt with first!

Block

Former residents of Number 10 are entitled to put forward people for a seat in the House of Lords as part of their resignation honours.

The PM Rishi Sunak is facing calls to block his predecessor’s picks, after she was only in the job for 49 days.

According to The Sun and i newspapers, one of Ms Truss’s nominations is Tory donor Jon Moynihan.

The other nominees, according to the papers, are ex-Vote Leave chief executive Matthew Elliot, aide Ruth Porter and think tank boss Mark Littlewood, whose Institute of Economic Affairs backed the mini-budget.
