Liz Truss said we want a MAGA revolution in UK – reactions

"Deluded gibberish, infantile tripe," wrote one person in response.

Liz Truss has declared that the UK needs a Trump-style revolution. The problem? No one remembers being consulted on this.

Speaking in an interview, the former prime minister said:

“We want to be part of the Second American Revolution… A lot of people in Europe are talking about ‘Make Europe Great Again.’ They understand what Donald Trump is trying to do in America and want the same thing in Europe.”

It seems Truss has fully embraced the MAGA movement – and she’s not alone.

📉 Meanwhile, Her Former Lover Is Spilling the Tea

As if that wasn’t enough drama, former Conservative MP Mark Field has revealed that his alleged relationship with Truss played a part in the breakdown of his marriage.

Field, who served as MP for Cities of London and Westminster from 2001 to 2019, claimed the “first serious signs of cracks” in his marriage appeared “just as Elizabeth Truss entered his life.”

Awkward timing, to say the least.

🔥 A ‘Chilling’ Warning from Truss

Truss’s interview wasn’t just about MAGA-style politics. It also came with a dire warning for the West.

A promo blurb for the interview painted a bleak picture:

“With Britain heading for bankruptcy, grooming gangs, unchecked immigration, and the rising threat of Islamism, is it too late to Make Europe Great Again?”

Truss, apparently undeterred by past political disasters, is now working on a new media venture to rival the BBC. She also claimed that the Bank of England “turned on her” and criticised Canada’s new Prime Minister, Mark Carney, labelling his leadership as incompetent.

Her final message?

“If we do not turn this around within 10 years, the West is finished.”

Nothing like a bit of doomsday rhetoric to rally the troops.

This went down well…

1.

You can tell who they are by their ‘Make Europe Great Again’ knotted hankies. https://t.co/cryQ8I78D4 pic.twitter.com/qZoQa6cXkS

I do sometimes wonder if a lot of pundits outside the UK are aware that Liz Truss was prime minister for less than two months, being so bad at it, her own party had to get rid of her before she could do any further damage. https://t.co/Pz9F3bxcor

She doesn't seem to realise that the Trump-Putin tie up is specifically designed to destroy Europe 🤷🏻‍♂️ https://t.co/7bJJ59PxvF

It’s still infuriating to know this embarrassment of a PM will now get to leech further off the tax payer with her absolute outrageous pension for the rest of her life.

Awarded hundreds of thousands each year for doing an absolutely disastrous job.

I think the lettuce makes more sense at this point. What a sad pathetic way for a prime minister to end. Gin-scented tears on a conspiracy podcast- you almost feel sorry for her. Almost.

6.

That’s all good Liz but your policies crashed our economy and we are still paying for it now mate.
You were the problem. You aren’t therefore the solution.

From someone who crashed the Uk economy and caused lasting problems for many, her hubris and desire for publicity knows no bounds

She has no idea how delusional and ridiculous she looks. It’s now gone beyond the irony and jokey phase into the full care home and medication phase
