Elon Musk has deleted tweets on his own platform X, that alleged Donald Trump was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files, following an a huge row between the two mega-egos.
The Tesla billionaire has since removed the posts in what appeared to be an attempt to mend their relationship, after going “nuclear” during a social media spat on Thursday night.
Musk had claimed Trump was mentioned in government documents relating to the late paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, even sharing footage of Trump and Epstein socialising together in the 1980s and 1990s.
Trump was named in a trove of deposition and statements linked to Epstein that were unsealed by a New York judge in early 2024. The president has not been accused of any wrongdoing, but he had a long and well-publicised friendship with Epstein.
Funding
It comes as Trump has threatened Musk if he funds the Democrats.
Trump has warned his billionaire former ally, and campaign benefactor to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, Elon Musk against funding Democratic candidates in the country’s 2026 midterm elections.
Trump was also asked whether he thought his relationship with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO was over, Trump said, “I would assume so, yeah”.
