Nadine Dorries and Liz Truss are being compared after Dorries has come under fire for not stepping down.

Nadine Dorries’ resignation is a saga for the ages…

It comes as a local council in Nadine Dorries’s constituency demanded she resigns as an MP “immediately”, saying “residents desperately need effective representation now”.

“Rather than representing constituents, the council is concerned that your focus appears to have been firmly on your television show, upcoming book and political manoeuvres to embarrass the government for not appointing you to the House of Lords,” wrote the council’s town clerk, Stephanie Stanley.

Liz Truss

Liz Truss’s tenure as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom began on 6 September 2022 when she accepted an invitation from Queen Elizabeth II to form a government, succeeding Boris Johnson, and ended 49 days later on 25 October upon her resignation.

So, like the lettuce, Nadine has outlasted Truss’ term as PM.
