TV presenter Piers Morgan left the Israeli Ambassador Tzipi Hotovely visibly speechless during an interview as he posed hard-hitting questions regarding the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict and the death toll in Gaza.
During the interview, Morgan directly asked, “How many Palestinian children have you killed?” The Israeli ambassador was unable to respond, simply stating, “I don’t have an answer to that question.”
Morgan went on to criticize Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, pointing out the lack of transparency in its data.
“Israeli officials claim they have killed 30,000 Hamas fighters, yet they don’t have data on how many children have been killed in Gaza,” he remarked.
Piers Morgan, who previously voiced support for Israel, acknowledged a shift in his stance.
“Why don’t you let international journalists into Gaza so they can report fairly and freely, without being led around by the IDF?” Morgan asked Hotovely.
“Let the journalists in, because you banned them, and the only reason you continue to ban international journalists from going in there is not because of our safety, as you all so quaintly put it. It’s because you don’t want the Western journalists to get in there and see what’s really happening.”
One person wrote in response: “Piers Morgan is on fire …. Well better come late than not coming at all …..”
In October 2023, Israeli Ambassador Tzipi Hotovely defended Israel’s assault on Gaza by invoking the notorious Allied fire-bombings of Dresden in World War II.
