Question Time verdict on Johnson as audience member nails it for you?

Well, this was quite the show of hands!

On Question Time it seems Boris Johnson’s days are numbered.

You wouldn’t think that listening to Nadine Dorries on her talk show…

She said the former prime minister is the victim of a “kangaroo court”.

Dorries also predicted that handing Johnson a long enough suspension to trigger a by-election in his Uxbridge constituency would end his political career.

Question Time

Boris Johnson swore “hand on heart, I did not lie to the House” and reiterated that his statements to the Commons were made in “good faith”

The former prime minister said that if it was so “obvious” that there was rule-breaking in No 10, as the committee has argued, then it would also have been “obvious” to others, including Rishi Sunak.

He argued the process being used to decide whether he was in contempt of Parliament was “manifestly unfair” and the MPs “found nothing to show that I was warned in advance that events in No 10 were illegal”

Well, on last night’s Question Time the audience didn’t seem to share Dorries’ thoughts…at all.

This audience member nail it for you?

This man nails what so much of the country thinks. If you only watch one Question Time clip tonight, make it this one.

Explaining that the audience was majority Tory voters, Bruce asked for a show of hands to show who “believes Boris Johnson was telling the truth”.

People shuffled in their seats but not a single hand went up, prompting Bruce to exclaim “wow!”.

Boris Johnson, the Heineken politician who reaches parts of the electorate others can't …
