Rachel Maclean, a Tory minister, recently made a “car crash” speech in support of the government’s rescue operation in the conflict-torn Sudan.

During her appearance on BBC’s Question Time, Tory MP Rachel Maclean contributed to the ambiguity surrounding whether or not Britain is assisting refugees in fleeing during a brief ceasefire. She even accused critics of inciting a “personality psychodrama” when it was brought out that other ministers were providing conflicting responses.

Fiona Bruce, "Who can come out of Sudan? The Foreign Secretary is saying one thing. The Home Secretary is saying one thing. And you're saying one thing."
