So Stamer and Loach are not mates that’s for sure, but were they once?

The headline might be a bit over the top, but stay with me here…

Anti-democratic

It comes a Labour mayor has accused his party of being “anti-democratic” after he was blocked from running in an election for a new position.

Mr Driscoll said this was a question for Mr Loach, and that he was “not a spokesman for Ken Loach”.

“My combined authority has adopted the… IHRA [International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance] definition of antisemitism,” he added.

Starmer and Loach

So Starmer’s party appears to closing down people with links to the famous film director, or have shared a platform, what about staring in one of his films?

WELL, with this in mind it might come as a shock to some people that they have both collaborated on a film together.

Filmed over ten years, with courtroom reconstructions directed by Ken Loach, McLibel features the first interview with a McDonald’s spy, as well as in-depth contributions from Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) and Keir Starmer (then Helen and Dave’s pro bono lawyer, now the Leader of the Labour Party).

It's such a stupid episode overall, but very funny that Keir Starmer actually starred in a Ken Loach film, McLibel. This is where this pic was a taken from. Full film: https://t.co/2zLeO8qmyH https://t.co/gAomzi0GaX pic.twitter.com/JylJO5GCjH

There is also this?

Er, Luke? You sure about that?
Because this looks remarkably like Keir Starmer sharing a platform with Ken Loach…? And if memory serves, agreeing with what he said. Luke…? https://t.co/bJeXXQxNRI pic.twitter.com/JP1lrLiV3W

So as this tweet asks: “Does this make him unfit to lead the Labour party?”

Oh look, here's @Keir_Starmer actually participating in a documentary (McLibel) directed by #KenLoach?🧐

In the world of Labour Party squabbles, this is a stretch, but worth remembering that the past can catch up with you and the internet NEVER forgets!
