Greta Thunberg has hit back at Donald Trump after the former US president took a swipe at her during a press conference — and her response is already going viral.
🛑 Intercepted on her Gaza mission
Thunberg had just returned to Paris following a dramatic interception by Israeli forces. She and 11 other pro-Palestinian activists were attempting to deliver food and medical supplies to Gaza when their UK-flagged aid boat was stopped in international waters.
“What we’ve been through is nothing compared to what the people in Gaza are going through,” Thunberg told reporters upon landing.
The incident has ramped up tensions surrounding Israel’s continued blockade of Gaza, which began in 2007 and was tightened to a total lockdown after the October 7 attacks.
Aid has been trickling in only under immense international pressure — including from then-President Joe Biden. But it was Thunberg’s bold attempt to deliver aid that sparked Trump’s latest outburst.
🧨 Trump: “She’s strange”
When asked whether Thunberg’s Gaza efforts had come up in talks with Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump veered into a personal attack, calling her “strange” and suggesting she needed “anger management classes”.
This comes just days after Trump’s now-infamous online meltdown involving Elon Musk — another public feud that exploded across social media.
🔥 Thunberg responds in style
Not one to back down, Thunberg hit back with her trademark deadpan:
“I think the world needs a lot more young angry women, to be honest — especially with everything going on right now.”
Her clapback was met with a flood of praise online, with many applauding her for flipping the insult into a rallying cry.
