Another water company has been slammed after failing to clear up “horrendous human waste” from a footpath, reports The Argus .

Cllr Macleod, who represents Ouse Valley and Ringmer, said, when the story, was published: “The sewage is still actively leaking after Southern Water had said the area would be cleaned up and dealt with.”

If that wasn’t enough a video from SOS Whitstable, on the Kent coast, shared a disgusting video from Chichester Harbour.

In both cases Souther Water has been blamed for the problems.

Tory MPs vote

So what are the Tories going to do about it?

Not a lot by the looks of it.

The Liberal Democrats tweeted: “Last night, 292 Conservative MPs voted to allow sewage dumping by water companies in our rivers and coasts for at least 15 more years. Can you spot your MP on the list?”

They then wrote: “In the last two years alone, water companies in England dumped raw sewage 775,568 times over 5,768,679 hours. The new regulations would permit dumping to continue for 15 more years.”
