Just when you think you’ve heard it all…

Donald Trump has claimed he “invaded Los Angeles” and opened up the water supply, leaving the city with more water than it knows what to do with.

Speaking at a press conference, Trump said:

“I invaded Los Angeles and we opened up the water. The water is now flowing down. They have so much water they don’t know what to do… we broke in to do it.”

The Reality Behind Trump’s Claim

In February, Trump did order the opening of two reservoirs in California’s San Joaquin Valley. However, it wasn’t exactly a heroic move.

The decision released billions of gallons of water that had been stored for the dry summer months. Now, farmers are bracing for a tough season, as the water shortage could devastate crops.

Why It Matters

Trump’s framing of the situation as a victory is raising eyebrows. Wasting vital water reserves ahead of a notoriously hot summer could cause major problems for agriculture and water supply.

Farmers and environmentalists have criticised the move, warning that California’s water crisis could worsen significantly.

Trump may think he’s saved the day — but reality suggests otherwise.

BREAKING: In an insane moment, Trump is now bragging that he "invaded Los Angeles and we opened up the water," even though he just ended up wasting billions of gallons of water and did not help fire fighting efforts. Trump is delusional.pic.twitter.com/5urK8U0cT7

You mean he wasted billions of gallons of water that California dumps into the ocean depriving the use to not only farmers but demanding other states not use it cause California needs it and then dumps it in the oceans
I don't think we need to dump water in an ocean when climate…

This is fucking insane. The fact that reasonable, intelligent people can listen to this incoherent verbal diarrhea and not take issue is baffling. https://t.co/BszzEXdc5R

Greenland

Donald Trump has said he thinks the US will annex Greenland, days after the country’s incoming prime minister said: “We don’t want to be Americans.”

Trump told NATO secretary general Mark Rutte: “I think that will happen. I didn’t give it much thought before, but I’m sitting with a man who could be very instrumental.

“You know Mark, we need that for international security. We have a lot of our favourite players cruising around the coast and we have to be careful.”

Boat landed

“A boat landed there 200 years ago or something. They say they have rights to it,” Mr Trump said. “I don’t know if that’s true. I don’t think it is, actually.”

He said the US already has a military presence in Greenland and added: “Maybe you’ll see more and more soldiers going there.”

A boat landed in the USA a LONG time after the Vikings landed in Greenland. Just ask the Native Indian population how that went…

I don't think it is, actually … we really need it for national security … maybe you'll see more and more soldiers go… pic.twitter.com/iBZeI0Qd66
