The government were happy to praise the independent pay review body for public sector workers and are more than happy to tell the UK about it.

However, now the pay review body has asked for an increase, the government don’t like, they seem to have changed their tune,

In response, filmmaker Peter Stefanovic has called the government out on their reverse ferret.

On Saturday, The Times reported on that ministers were likely to block some of the recommendations, under which teachers, police officers, prison officers and junior doctors would receive pay rises of 6% or more. That report prompted outrage among trade unions, which said such a move would have “profound consequences for future industrial relations”.

The chief secretary to the Treasury, John Glen, told Sky News on Sunday: “What happens is we have the reports of the pay review bodies, most of those have come in, and then we look at those and make an assessment.

“As a matter of principle, pay review bodies are a very significant part of resolving the pay issues, but obviously, we’ve also got to take account of the effect on inflation. It would be irresponsible not to do that, so we haven’t finished that process.”

Peter shared the post and wrote: “I MAKE NO EXCUSES FOR MY RAGE. This truth twisting Government’s treatment of our public sector workers – who kept this country going during the pandemic – has been absolutely shameful. Watch this in disbelief and if you share my anger RT it widely.”
