It comes as the Conservative party’s deputy chairman Lee Anderson said asylum seekers complaining about being moved into the Bibby Stockholm barge should “f*** off back to France”.

It seems the race to the bottom in the UK is almost over. As the first humans were taken onto the infamous barge, to become Bibby Stockholm captives, someone has complained that they are being fed.

It started when James O’Brien tweeted: “t’s important to note that literally nobody persuaded that asylum seekers are all lying and/or a threat will be feeling better disposed towards them as a consequence of this barge. The barge is designed to delight them. It won’t. Tomorrow they’ll be claiming it’s too luxurious.”

The @impluasiblblog then replied writing: “Too late, from Channel 4 News this evening. A man is complaining that some people on the island have one meal a day and those on the barge get more. He should be complaining to the government for underfunding those most in need. Instead he’s satisfying the culture war, expressing his anger on asylum seekers instead.”

You might agree with Matthews Stadlen who wrote: “Lee Anderson is one thing. The Justice Secretary, Alex Chalk, defending him is a stain on the political and judicial landscapes of this country. He shames his office.”
