At today’s PMQs Rishi Sunak was given a torrid time, but it was the SNP leader that really riled the Tories.

Also Keir Starmer said we all know why Rishi Sunak did not want to ask a colleague about tax avoidance. He said the failure to sack Zahawi shows “how hopelessly weak he is”.

He then asked, “Does he think this job is too big for him?”

But it was the leader of the SNP in Westminster, Stephen Flynn, asked the question that left Sunak flat footed:

Wasn't sure of Stephen Flynn's first week after missing Ian Blackford, but Flynn's turn this week totally eloquently and accurately took Sunak and his hopeless, hypocritical govt to pieces this week.

Blackford left big boots to fill, Flynn has always been exceptional & is definitely starting to feel comfy in that seat.

He’s going to reign hell on these corrupt Tories

Following the announcement of getting the top SNP job in Westminster, Flynn: “Under my leadership, SNP MPs will be relentlessly focused on standing up for Scotland’s interests and our democratic right to decide our future in an independence referendum.

“Families across Scotland are paying a devastating price under Westminster control, with Brexit, austerity cuts and the Tory cost of living crisis hammering household budgets.

“SNP MPs will work harder than ever to hold the Tory government to account – and make the case that independence is the essential route to safety, fairness and prosperity for Scotland.”
