At today’s PMQs Stephen Flynn was back in the hot seat for the SNP and caused PM Rishi Sunak a headache.

Flynn had just asked Sunak whether he agreed with his ‘own analysis’ that high mortgage rates would cost the Tories the next election.

He also brought up the dreaded Brexit word, which the Tories are squabbling about and Labour have head in sand.

He asked the PM: “There is an elephant in this here chamber when it comes to the dire economic circumstances facing the UK, and that’s Brexit.” “So can I ask the Prime Minister will he apologise for the cycle of misery that Westminster has caused?”

Labour leader Starmer demanded an election: “If he (Sunak)spent as much time focused on the economy, the NHS and the asylum system as he does haggling with his predecessors about who gets honours, the country would be in a far better state.

“Once again, he has lost control and once again, it is working people paying a price. If he disagrees with that, why not put it to the test, end the boasting, the excuses, the Tory chaos, see if he can finally find somebody, anybody anywhere to vote for him, and call a general election now?”
