Danny Dyer isn’t letting David Cameron off the hook anytime soon. The actor revealed he now refers to the former prime minister as ‘Lord Twat,’ six years after his infamous rant about Cameron’s resignation over Brexit.
🗣️ A Throwback to the Famous Rant
Dyer’s comments came during an appearance on ITV’s The Assembly, a show where he answered questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent, and learning-disabled interviewers. When asked about his 2018 outburst, where he branded Cameron a ‘twat,’ Dyer didn’t hold back.
“I called him a twat,” Dyer said. “I like to refer to him now as Lord Twat.”
🇬🇧 Why the Anger?
The actor explained why he had such strong words for the former Tory leader. “We had a big vote for Brexit, which has obviously been a fing disaster, but he was our leader, and he fed off and left us,” Dyer said. “When the shit hits the fan, that’s when you need to lead us properly – he disappeared. So, I called him a twat, I don’t like him.”
🎯 Fans Agree with Dyer
The clip of Dyer’s comments quickly caught attention on social media. One person posted on X, “You cannot argue with that!” Another praised the segment, saying, “Superb bit of TV, great programme!”
It looks like Dyer’s ‘Lord Twat’ nickname has found some fans—especially given the fallout from Brexit. It seems Cameron’s reputation may never recover in Dyer’s eyes!
