Trump’s grand military spectacle, held on his birthday, was meant to be a show of strength. But according to Associated Press and eyewitness reports, it was more whimper than bang.

Despite Trumpworld claims of 250,000 attendees, images showed row upon row of empty bleachers and small, quiet crowds lining the parade route.

Meanwhile, the “No Kings” protests – organised by groups including the ACLU – drew a reported five million people across 2,100 locations, massively overshadowing Trump’s event.
Protestors gathered in cities and towns nationwide to oppose Trump’s record on immigration, militarised policing, and what they described as authoritarian tendencies.

One ACLU spokesperson said the demonstrations were about rejecting Trump’s “abuses of power” and “showing unity over tyranny.”

While White House spokesperson Steven Cheung insisted the crowd was huge, outlets like BBC and NBC News disputed the claim. The White House has yet to respond officially.
But one thing’s clear: Hillary Clinton’s not letting this one slide — and neither are millions of Americans.
