“I thought you were on the boat Liamo, what happened? You forgot your sea goggles? You get sea sick off the gargle? Bottler.”

Conor McGregor has once again deleted one of his infamous X posts – this time after getting absolutely roasted by Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham in a viral exchange over Gaza.

🧨 From octagon to online outrage

The former UFC champ hasn’t fought since July 2021, but his Twitter fingers have been active ever since. Lately, McGregor has used his X account to share controversial takes on politics, social issues – and apparently now, Game of Thrones actors.

On Monday night, McGregor decided to weigh in on a post by Irish actor Liam Cunningham – best known for playing Davos Seaworth in HBO’s fantasy epic – who was sharing a message about Israel’s seizure of the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla.

But Cunningham wasn’t having it.

In a blistering comeback, Cunningham hit back:

“Didn’t know you could read and write Conor. Thought you used your hands to tap out.”

The line was a not-so-subtle jab at McGregor’s infamous 2018 submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, where the Irish fighter tapped out in the fourth round.

The burn went viral, with fans hailing Cunningham as the unexpected winner of the online scrap. McGregor quickly deleted his tweet – but not before screenshots flooded social media.

💬 Deleted, but not forgotten

This isn’t the first time McGregor has wiped posts after backlash. In fact, it’s become part of the pattern: post, provoke, delete.

He’s hinted recently at a political future, even floating the idea of running for president of Ireland – but if he’s hoping to win public support, internet spats like this probably aren’t helping.

As for Cunningham? He returned to posting about Gaza, unbothered, and with a new legion of supporters cheering him on.
