Reform UK’s Zia Yusuf was left squirming on Question Time last night after an audience member savagely compared his party to “a comedy act in Blackpool.”

The takedown, delivered with perfect comic timing, drew laughs from the crowd and sent social media into overdrive. Yusuf, who was already on the back foot defending his party’s NHS stance, struggled to shake off the jab.

“Reform UK have got ten councils, including in Blackpool,” said the man. “But fast forward four years – are they going to be in Downing Street or a comedy act down the road in Blackpool?”

🎤 Fiona Bruce adds fuel to the fire

Presenter Fiona Bruce didn’t let up, asking Yusuf to clarify his views on the NHS after he claimed Reform UK has no plans to scrap it — despite years of dodgy soundbites from party leader Nigel Farage.

Bruce also brought up Yusuf’s recent departure from the party and Farage’s icy remark about his “interpersonal skills not being top of the list.”
That got another round of laughter from the crowd.

🤔 Yusuf hits back (sort of)

Yusuf, who now leads Reform’s Department of Government Efficiency (yes, DOGE), eventually pushed back with a defence of his credentials and the party’s progress.

“I’m very results-oriented,” he said. “We’ve opened 400 branches, taken 10 councils and are polling above 30%. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved.”

He insisted he was “not in it for the money” and claimed May 1st will go down in history as a landmark election day for the party.

😬 Social media reaction: savage

The “comedy act” line instantly went viral, with one viewer posting:

“What a savage remark on Question Time.”

Another added:

“I won’t be laughing at their act – because it’s real now.”

Bravo to this man calling out the Reform Comedy club.
