Former LBC presenter Sangita Myska has finally spoken out to “draw a line” under the speculation around her sudden departure—despite a strict legal gag preventing full disclosure.
🗣️ “I left LBC last year… without warning”
Myska reveals her final 16 weekend shows were pulled without her knowledge:
“I was not informed in advance that my time at the station was ending prematurely. I was not allowed to say goodbye to my listeners.”
She emphasises that onerous, indefinite contractual restrictions bar her from discussing any details before or after her exit.
🔥 Pushback on O’Brien’s conspiracy jibe
In March 2025, James O’Brien suggested on air that Myska stayed silent to let “antisemitic conspiracy theories” flourish. Myska calls that claim “false” and “deeply upsetting,” stressing her lifelong fight against racism and bigotry:
“It is unjust for LBC or its associates to speculate publicly about the reasons for my departure while I remain legally silenced. I have now taken formal steps to request that this stops.”
🎧 Audience figures smash O’Brien’s ratings excuse
O’Brien also implied low ratings prompted her axing. Myska counters with RAJAR data:
“I reached record average audiences of over half a million listeners a week in two separate quarters.”
She and her team grew the show’s “huge digital footprint” and built “something powerful” that resonated with the public.
🤝 “Truth matters. Fairness matters.”
Closing her statement, Myska thanks supporters for their “immense kindness” and reaffirms her commitment to proper journalism:
“This has been a painful and difficult time. But your support has reminded me that truth matters. Fairness matters. And journalism done properly still matters.”
