Dr David Bull, former Brexit Party MEP and now Reform’s new party chair, appeared on Good Morning Britain for what was meant to be a serious interview.
It’s been a chaotic few weeks for Reform UK, but just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder… their new chairman says he was once strangled by the ghost of Derek Acorah – and Richard Madeley’s response was an instant classic.
Dr David Bull, former Brexit Party MEP and now Reform’s new party chair, appeared on Good Morning Britain for what was meant to be a serious interview. But between defending burka bans and arguing in favour of the death penalty, things took a turn for the paranormal.

Bull, who previously worked as a presenter on Most Haunted, shared a bizarre encounter involving the late TV medium Derek Acorah.

“I absolutely believe in ghosts,” Bull said. “I was once strangled by a spirit – Derek Acorah, to be exact.”
Twitter was split between jaw-drops, laughter and sheer disbelief. Some viewers called the moment “spooktacular” while others labelled it “accidentally savage Madeley at his finest”.
As Reform UK continues to grapple with its burka ban row and revolving leadership door, it’s fair to say their new chairman has brought a… unique energy to the party.
