It turns out kids really do ask the best questions – and one curious teen just left a Republican politician hilariously stumped.
During a recent high school trip to Washington, DC, students from an unnamed school got the chance to grill Georgia Republican Brian Jack in a Capitol Q&A. One student didn’t hold back, cutting straight to the question that’s puzzled the world for years:
“Why is [Trump] so orange?”
Jack, clearly caught off guard, stammered before managing to reply: “Uh, that’s, you know what, it’s, it’s, it’s your perspective. It isn’t certainly mine. I just think he has a great tan.”
Not exactly the confident answer you’d expect from a seasoned politician.
👀 Social Media Reactions – ‘Get These Kids in the WH Press Room’
The clip quickly spread on social media, with users hailing the students as the real MVPs of political journalism. One user quipped, “Get these kids in the WH press room,” while another joked, “It takes a high schooler to call out the [Republicans] for their bizarro acceptance of a president in clown makeup. Bravo!”
💥 The Real Reason Behind Trump’s Hue?
Of course, Trump’s distinctive glow has sparked debate for years. In 2019, a senior Trump administration official told The New York Times that the former president’s hue comes down to “good genes” and powder – not bronzer.
But former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman offered a different take in her 2018 memoir, “Unhinged,” claiming Trump relies on a daily tanning bed to maintain his signature look.
So, what’s the truth? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure – these students just made politics a whole lot more colourful.
