Daily Mail slams Pamela Anderson, deletes it & unites internet

"Back off," one person said simply and yes, you read that right, united the internet!

The Daily Mail declared that Pamela Anderson looked ‘frumpy’ and ‘worlds away’ from her ‘Baywatch glory.’

The original message has since been deleted, as someone must have seen sense and decided that calling out 57-year-old women is not really on.

Cosmopolitan was a lot kinder writing: “Fashions aside, what stole the show was not Pam’s dress, but her hairstyle. I mean, she’s only gone and ditched her chest-length blonde locks for a French bob and super short micro fringe!

“Alas, wig or not, this bob is certainly one for the history books. Mark my words: Legendary.”

Naked Gun

It comes as the former “Baywatch” star plays a mysterious woman named Beth in the upcoming legacy sequel “The Naked Gun”. Entertainment Weekly shared the first look at Anderson in the film, which you can see below.

“It is the same depth of process for a high comedy as it is for a drama,” Anderson told EW. “I worked hard on the role, another cathartic experience. Every film, it seems, tackles a deep-seated issue that needs to be expressed and surfaced in ways other than anything else.”

In the film, Liam Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Frank Drebin, the late Leslie Nielsen played in the three previous “The Naked Gun” films as well as “Police Squad!”

In October 2022, the film was officially greenlit with Neeson in the lead role as Frank Drebin Jr. and Akiva Schaffer directing. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand were hired to write a new draft of the script, from a previous draft with contributions from Mark Hentemann and Alec Sulkin.

In December 2024, it was determined by the Writers Guild of America that Gregor, Mand, and Schaffer would be credited on the screenplay while Hentemann, MacFarlane, and Sulkin contributed additional literary material. MacFarlane and Erica Huggins served as producers, under their production company Fuzzy Door Productions.

The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 1, 2025.

Reactions

1.

So after years of people complaining about women using filters, plastic surgery, and excessive make up, 57-year-old Pamela Anderson decides to make a statement by going from being THE beauty standard to now embracing natural beauty and graceful aging—and people are mad… still? pic.twitter.com/UPfeiod6qd

2.

Everyone is constantly railing against women in too much make up, showing too much flesh, ruining their faces with filler even in their early 20s because of unrealistic beauty standards. And then a woman in her 50s in totally normal make up and a FAB dress gets called frumpy. https://t.co/Y2p2ngjEXD

She looks FINE. Heck, I wouldn't mind looking like that and I'm forty three. Ever comment about balding, fat, middle-aged men or is it just women that you think should live up to some idealised standard?

Guys, she is almost 60 years old and no longer has anything to prove to you or anyone else. I salute her for going au naturel. Shame on you!

Pictures please of the Daily Mail editor at 22 & 57 so we can see if he kept his pert body & youthful glow?

(also Pamela looks perfectly lovely so fuck off you loathsome ghouls) https://t.co/orJgcOYy9o

7.

The only way Pamela Anderson can be considered "frumpy" is if the Daily Mail means she's "old-fashioned" for not getting fillers, botox, and other cosmetic work done.

If looking natural is "frumpy" I'm all for it. pic.twitter.com/FnFHhgRDyc

8.

The fuss over Pamela Anderson is simple: she’s aged, very gracefully, but she’s not a pinup on teenage boys’ walls any more. This reminds middle-aged men that they’re not virile young teenagers any more either, so they resent her for it. https://t.co/qA8qB70jnk

Pamela looks stylish, chic and her own age. She’s a beautiful 57. Back off. https://t.co/aFqTvGK7gz
