Tommy Robinson, known offstage as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, and his party found themselves abruptly escorted out of Hawksmoor Air Street in London. They’d barely tucked into their starters when a manager informed them that staff felt too “uncomfortable” to continue serving.
👥 ‘No reason given’—or was there?
Robinson’s dinner companion, Guramit Singh Kalirai, filmed the scene. In his video, he protests, “Is it because of the colour of my skin?” The manager quickly quashes that notion: “No, no, no. We have a duty of care to our members of staff. We like to look after our people, as I’m sure you can understand.”
📇 Here’s the CEO’s card…
Rather than let tensions simmer, the manager handed Robinson the CEO’s business card and offered to cover their first round of drinks. “I’m very sorry. I hope it hasn’t inconvenienced you,” he apologised. Robinson and his friends left soon after.
📹 Viral video sparks debate
Kalirai’s clip, captioned “Just been kicked out of Hawksmoor steakhouse for no reason,” racked up reactions quickly. He complains, “Been sat here for a f***ing hour. We are sat here with the celebrities.”
⚖️ Pending court appearance
The restaurant drama unfolded soon after Robinson was bailed at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (June 5). He faces allegations of harassing two MailOnline journalists via his X account last August. He’ll appear at Southwark Crown Court on July 3 for plea and trial preparation.
