Remember when Elon Musk boasted that Ukraine’s entire defence hinged on his Starlink satellites? During a spring spurt of bravado he even challenged Vladimir Putin to “one-on-one physical combat,” claiming:
“Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off.”
I literally challenged Putin to one on one physical combat over Ukraine and my Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off.
What I am sickened by is years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will…
Poland’s digital ministry quietly foots a $50 million Starlink bill each year. So when the satellites doubled as Musk’s ego amplifier, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski calmly reminded him:
“If SpaceX proves unreliable, we’ll find another supplier.”
Starlinks for Ukraine are paid for by the Polish Digitization Ministry at the cost of about $50 million per year. The ethics of threatening the victim of aggression apart, if SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider we will be forced to look for other suppliers. https://t.co/WaJWCklgPE

Translation: “Nice toy. We’ll take our business elsewhere.”
😤 Musk snaps: ‘small man’
Rather than don a cape, Musk opted for a tweet, calling Sikorski a “small man.” Harsh territory for geopolitical banter.
