Bridgerton Season 3 Storyline

Deviating from the order of Julia Quinn’s books, Netflix has confirmed that Season 3 will skip the third book, “An Offer From a Gentleman,” and instead focus on book 4, “Romancing Mister Bridgerton.” The narrative will center on Penelope’s attempts to find a husband while maintaining her secret identity as Lady Whistledown. Colin, played by Luke Newton, offers to mentor Penelope, leading to a journey of self-discovery and complicated emotions.

Intriguingly, the synopsis reveals that Penelope has given up on her crush on Colin after learning of his disparaging words. As their paths cross again, a mentorship ensues, blurring the lines between friendship and something more.

Bridgerton Season 3 Casting

The main cast includes returning favorites and some new faces. Nicola Coughlan reprises her role as Penelope Featherington, alongside Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton and Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton. Notably, the role of Francesca has been recast, with Hannah Dodd replacing Ruby Stokes.

New additions to the cast include Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, James Phoon, and Hannah New, who brings her charm as the young widow Lady Tilley Arnold. Unfortunately, Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne and Regé-Jean Page’s Duke of Hastings will not be making appearances in Season 3.

Bridgerton’s Future

Excitingly, Bridgerton fans can look forward to more seasons beyond Season 3. In April 2022, the series was officially renewed for Season 4, ensuring a continued exploration of The Ton’s romantic escapades. Netflix’s commitment to the Bridgerton universe promises a prolonged engagement with the captivating world crafted by Shondaland.
