‘I don’t see colour’: Triple H responds to concerns over lack of Black male wrestlers on WWE PLEs

"I see everybody gets the opportunity. I don’t see the difference in anybody. I don’t see the color, I don’t see the nationality, I don’t see any of it. I just see talent."

During the post-show press conference for WWE Bad Blood 2024, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, known as Triple H, addressed questions regarding the representation of Black male wrestlers in recent Premium Live Events (PLEs). TJ Legacy raised the issue, noting that no Black male wrestlers had appeared on the last three PLEs, including the Bad Blood card.

Triple H responded by emphasizing that talent, not race or nationality, determines who appears on WWE shows. He stated, “I see everybody gets the opportunity. I don’t see the difference in anybody. I don’t see the colour, I don’t see the nationality, I don’t see any of it. I just see talent.”

He further elaborated that storytelling is the focus when deciding which wrestlers feature on WWE events, stating that he doesn’t track race or gender when determining who fits into storylines. “I do what’s relevant and what’s best in storytelling and what’s being delivered the best, and that’s what goes.”
