Director Barry Jenkins thrilled fans at D23 Brazil with an exclusive look at the final trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King. Attendees at this special Disney showcase got a sneak peek at the beloved characters who shaped the Pride Lands’ legacy.

A Journey Back to Pride Rock

The trailer transports viewers back to a time when Mufasa, Scar, Sarabi, Rafiki, and Zazu first roamed the lands before they became the rulers of Pride Rock. The film explores Mufasa’s rise from an unlikely background to a powerful king.

The Rise of a Legend

In Mufasa: The Lion King, Rafiki recounts the tale of Mufasa’s journey to Simba and Nala’s daughter, Kiara. With Timon and Pumbaa bringing their usual humour, the story unfolds in flashbacks, showing Mufasa as an orphaned cub. Alone and vulnerable, he meets a kind-hearted lion named Taka, heir to a royal lineage. This encounter sparks an unforgettable journey of self-discovery and courage as Mufasa and his friends face danger and test their bonds.
